Twin 40DCNFs & manifold

I bought a pair of Weber 40 DCNFs with an inlet manifold some time back and have never got around to getting them fitted.

They were serviced by Guy Croft immediately prior to my buying them (they were previously owned by John Valentine (Vallers), who was about to get them fitted when Guy found a brand new pair of DCNSFs & a manifold which he had fitted instead - at significant cost).

There is no throttle linkage, but they do come with a pait of Pipercross air filters.

I also have a cylinder head with a fast road cam in it - allegedly! I bought this from someone who had an X1/9 with twin carbs and a Kent cam fitted. They had the carbs and the head replaced and I got the head. I only have their word for what the cam is - I've never looked!

So, anyone interested?

Any offers - post here or give me a call or email - 07769 892310 or treasurer@x1-9ownersclub.org.uk

(actually I'm not certain it was a Kent - what other makes are there? I'm sure I'll remember when I hear the name...)

Hi Simon,
I would be interested in the head and cam but I have no idea as to what the value actaully is. Can you suggest a price? I already have twin carbs( although not on the car yet). I assume the head and cam to be in good working condition.
All the best,
Dave.

Simon

I seem to remember you telling me it's a Faza camshaft.

Thanks Stephen, yes it is (or at least I was told it was) a Faza.

I rather sell the carbs with the cam to be honest.

What a shame you're not joining the twin-carb brigade Simon - is your new Coupe providing you with all the speed kicks you need then?! ;) (especially that magic 3rd gear!)

UNfortunatley I cannot afford to buy the carbs just so I can buy the head/cam.
Thanks
Dave.

Hi Simon,
I am still interested in the head/cam and while I appreciate you would rather sell it all together metalwm is interested in the carbs. Any chance you would reconsider and that way you get your sale and metalwm gets his carbs and I get my head?

Dont tell the wife!

Dave

Sorry folks, sold them.

The Coupe is a great car, third is the gear!
