Quality looks great but... Why have you left one panel with no stripes??

These Serie Speciale seat covers are the same STRIPING PATTERN as from Fiat in the Seventies, one panel has no striping, this is ORIGINAL

Only a few Serie Speciale X 1/9 have all panels filled with the striping, this will be our next project.

News to me too. Doesn't look right.

I'm not doubting you Henk, you obviously know your stuff and here in the UK we weren't exactly at the head of the queue when it came to Xs... I mean, we had to wait around 5 years to buy one... but still, I've never seen the seats like that.

These seats were mostly delivered in Australia, the Netherlands, Germany etc.

Fiat made 2 different models

model 1 striping like our new seat covers
model 2 striping on the whole seat cover

These pictures are from our archive !

These BLUE seat covers are new and Original in our wharehouse, we used these for the correct model

These green seats are UK end other country specifications, also sold in Netherlands, Germany etc.
Interesting .....

I'm sure Neil Yardley's seats in Coventry have the blank panel at the bottom. I can't remember what mine are like in my met orange 1300 but I'll try to have a look tomorrow. I didn't realise there were two versions but now I understand there were. Neil and I thought the seats were either repaired or non standard but they appeared to be very well done as the stitching was the same.

Yes Ewens correct - FAG's seats have the bottom of the seat back in plain green. TBH I just thought as it was a very late 1300 they had run out of striping!

That is really funny and all of us Italian car lovers would've thought the same...! I've owned enough Fiats and Lancias now to know- They all used to make do with whatever was available at the time...

Just to update this - I've been in contact and discussion with Mark Weinberger from the Australian X1/9 group on FB and all 1300's there were factory issued with the seats as per FAG - i.e. with the stripe missing from the lower section of the seat back. So it was a deliberate factory thing and not just a lack of material?! Though not sure why as I still don't think it looks quite right....

Totally agree on this. Even if I had never seen mine which are fully striped I would still think a plain panel looked wrong. I can't imagine why they did it.
So it would seem the fully striped ones are super rare then... ;)
I love my 1300 even more now!
