Bought some bits from this car on ebay:

cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320498867293

Went to collect them yesterday - the car looks in really good condition, clean and tidy (wasn't the one in the picture). Body looked pretty good, though there was some rust on the front offside inner wing. He's stripping it and going to scrap the body if can't sell it - seems a shame, I've seen worse on the road!

Yes he is called Joe. The car on his drive is a black GF - said it came from Wales and was MOTd with rebuilt engine. He's putting engine in a Dallara replica.
Sorry, didn't notice the engine lid.

Most Unos with the transistorised magnetic pickup distributor, also found on strada 85s and regatas all you need is a different type of cap ddb895 and arm drb893c (both lucas part numbers)
Fitted it a while ago following instructions from
www.xone9.homestead.com
dont think the link works anymore

You can build the internals out of an Uno or Tipo dizzy into the X1/9 dizzy body, using the standard cap and rotor arm. I had pics on here a long time ago somewhere..

Pete - there are now pictures of the engine cover on ebay - from the photos, it looks decent. He wants £50 +p&p, but he is prepared to drop his prices

If you want to replace your 1500 bumpers - I do remember the front one was in excellent condition.

Look out for the one-way system!
The place is like a permanent mobile home park and there is a one way system that my sat-nav didn't know about!
Check out the Dallara rep in his garage.

lol yes the dreaded one way system and no17 was no where near number 15 !! the car was in very very good condition much better than mine and its sad to see he is scrapping it but i am pleased i got the immaculate boot lid for 50 quid and a new alternator for 20 quid,so i was pleased, infact there was lots on there i would have had but he said the doors were sold...
