Friday 6th to Sunday 8th September 2013
We hope that many of you will be able to join us in North Norfolk for a weekend of fabulous roads (avoiding the potholes), "bootiful" Norfolk scenery, good company and a ride on a Steam Train.
We have chosen the award winning Kelling Heath Holiday Park near Weybourne as the venue. It is in a lovely location and is very well serviced with a choice of eateries, a bar with local real ales, a leisure centre with swimming pools (additional charge) and some evening entertainment. There is a choice of accommodation available and a camping area priced as follows (these prices include some club discounts for group booking):
Camping/caravanning from £18.67 per night (dogs allowed at additional charge)
"Tern" static caravan (sleeps 8 - one double, two twins, one sofabed) £297.00
"Heron" static caravan (sleeps 6 - one double, one twin, sofabed) £250.20
"Nightjar" luxury static caravan (sleeps 6 - one double, one twin, sofabed) £293.40
"Papworth Trust" static caravan with disability access (sleeps 6 - one double, one twin, sofabed) £293.40
Please take a look at the Kelling Heath website www.kellingheath.co.uk for further details. You can contact Claire Pennock at the site with any questions on 01263 588181 or email Claire.Pennock@blueskyleisure.co.uk
The provisional itinerary for the weekend is to arrive Friday and get together in one of the restaurants for an evening meal. Saturday we will go for a drive along the Norfolk Coast, stopping for some light refreshment and photo opportunities.
Sunday morning we plan to take the North Norfolk Steam Train from Sheringham (a short drive from the Holiday Park) to the lovely Town of Holt, where we can have a peruse and a light lunch or tea and cake before returning to Sheringham on the Steam Train ( www.nnrailway.co.uk )
There are many other attractions nearby so perhaps you may consider extending your stay to a week! Any questions please to the East Anglia RO, Martyn Harris at highmeadowfinance@hotmail.com or on 01603 279095.
Please note that we need to make reservations as soon as possible to ensure sufficient accommodation is available. Please contact Martyn in the next TWO WEEKS if you intend to come along and to indicate your preferred accommodation type. Once provisional numbers are know you can then confirm your booking directly with Kelling Heath Holiday Park.

The roads in the area are perfectly suited to the X1/9 and the coastline is very beautiful.
See you there.
Chris and Karen.

There are details on the main homepage of the website and a link from there with the full details of the
National. I think things are quiet as its the main holiday weeks and people are away at the moment.
Regards,
Terry.

FRIDAY: after checking into our luxury accommodation at Kelling Heath, get along to the Forge for a slap up meal and real ale (sounds like a great venue for the vodka boys!).
SATURDAY: In the morning we will be cruisin’ the scenic North Norfolk coast, heading deep into Alan Partridge country, stopping for lunch at the little seaside town of Overstrand, before heading off to sample the delights of the reknowned resort of Cromer, famous for its crabs, beaches and pier.
We’ll be parking up at a cliff top venue to take in the scenic views of coast and collected exxies as we hold our car show where we get to vote for our favourites. Don’t forget to bring your swimming cozzie for the mass swim, oh alright then, the mass paddle.
Then head back to the caravan site where the club’s in-house chef will BBQ to perfection your bring-your-own food. No doubt strong drink will also be taken.
SUNDAY: You will have the opportunity to ride the North Norfolk Railway, which offers a 10.5 mile round trip by steam train (vintage diesel trains on some journeys) through a delightful area of North Norfolk designated as being of outstanding natural beauty. Alternatively drive along delightful roads through charming villages to reach the train stop at Holt and enjoy lunch at the famous Byfords cafe.
Those of us who have to head on home can make our fond farewells, the lucky ones can mosey on back to base camp for another evening of revelry down at the Forge before heading home on Monday.
