footmanjames...a disgrace

hi i took out my classic car insurance with footman james,paid for the policy in full then when i received their forms i sent them back,signed and with photographs and mileage verification and previous valuation certificate...then today i get a letter they sent out yesterday saying they cancelled my policy! they said they had never received my papers/pictures etc and that someone signed for a recorded letter that i have not received and they cant tell me who signed it,well i have been driving my x1/9 without insurance for a week now they cancelled it on the 16th and didnt write and send it out til yesterday to tell me so!!!!.....so i am now insured with heritage...and saved 25 quid

I'm with Heritage as well good policy never any problems.

yes heritage are much more professional,have my policy documents already,what gets me is they never informed me they were going to cancel it,they just did it and told me a week later,i was at an x1/9 tvs meeting sunday unaware i was not insured!.....could have been 6pts on my licence and a huge fine..

Lancaster are pretty good too, you can do it all online.

i did it online through heritage and got my documents a day later...cheap too with the mods on mine 120 quid

3000 miles plus my mods.....debumpered,k+n filter and csc sports exhaust

A bit late now, but at least I know for next year.
Mind you, I seem to remember being with them several years ago and they went a silly price, so perhaps they have good intro offers, interesting to see what your renewal will be next year.
Think I'll just check what the ordinary boys offer, I'm getting to that kind of age when they start paying me!

lol so many companies now doing classic insurance so i think its good for us and we are getting better deals

£177 for 3000 miles with Churchill, no NCD but I do have another car policy with them.
That's not bad, actually.
Worth another look next year.

others in my area are with heritage and paying less than me,one pays 88 quid and 3 pay under 100 quid,was quoted 95 quid before my mods

it was the same, my policy covers performance exhaust and filter plus upgrade wheels and an agreed value of £2600.
