Sad to hear your not renewing your membership. The club's not just about a colour mag (brilliant though they are). It's about a car that we all have fun with. I've been on many great trips with the club and met some great people. I've needed advice and parts from experts like Rachel and Tiff and they have come up trumps. I've got a working car because Tiff gave me a gearbox and Ewen got me out of a fix in Dunoon with brake parts. Guy has given me loads of parts for my 1300 for which I'm very greatful. And many others have helped me. In return I hope I've helped a few people too. In fact did I not send you a part for your gearbox? I think £30 is a bargin and I'll be renewing for sure.

I think you've been a great member of the forum / club - it's a shame you've decided not to renew.

According to our esteemed membership sec, I've been a member for over 22 years! So it might have cost me £500 all in. Can't buy a week in Spain in August for that price!
Just been discussing insurance on another thread, cost me £103 this year, cheapest "normal" insurance with Churchill - £177. So my £30 membership has saved me £74, no brainer on cost effectiveness.
Been bailed out of the s**t a few times myself, anyone remember Bob and his lad Dave from Liverpool? Going back 12-15 years now, Bob spent a whole afternoon at Tatton one year putting the driver's window back on its runner on my old 1300.
Only Sparks fans come close to the warmth and cameraderie shown by X1-9 enthusiasts, but that's another story...
